The New Great Project
Yes, the new great project.
That was stopped for a long time, because of a very said reason. My father, with whom I was always busy with the miniatures, unfortunately died on the 5th of March. Whit his dead I lost a great help en supporter for making the miniatures. After that, It took me a long time to start again with the dolls house. And then came the fair in Arnhem, there was a beautiful house, like mine, but with 2 shops instead of a basement. And there I decide to buy that house, the sale was closed, I was giving back my house with some money and therefore I received the new one.
The new house is now standing in my living room, with a picture of my dad above it, so he can watch me. The furniture he already made is in the rooms, now the decorations, like the wooden floors, the curtains, but that will come, just you wait. Now that I am working on this new dolls house, I am thinking a lot of my dad, the way he helped me, the way he made all the furniture, believe me, I miss him.
But he is living in my hart and in al the things he has made for the house.
En trough this website I will let you all know how it is going with the “new” project. On the picture page you can see a picture of the new dolls house, and for the inside, please drop by sometimes on this website, it will come.
Finally some rooms in de new house are finished. On the topfloor there is de big bedroom, with a nice lady in front of her mirror, doing her hair.
In the midle room there is the babyroom, with a pregnant lady. All the things are ready for the baby. On the right site of the babyroom there is the childrensroom, he is playing with his train and his sister is by the table with her bear.
The musicroom is almost finished.
Well the music room is finished. The gentleman behind the piano is playing a nice tune and the lady next to the piano is listening. Booth are dolls from Fashion Dolls in Miniature, Helena Reijnen, they are great and nice to make.
All the tiles in used in the kitchen are from porcelain, and made by Tiny Ceramics in Germany, it was a lot of work to glu them in the pattern but also a nice job, because with every tile you see it becomes beautiful.
Now the kitchen is almost ready, the lady has a plate in her hands with nice cake's the cook is standing behind a big ham. On the kitchen table their is a lot of food, all made by me from fimo clay. That is nice to do, their are cake's, bread, pasterie, cheese, mead. comming winter I will make some more, like vegetables and more fruit.
Well having a dolls house is like your own home, rebuilding. I would like to make a bathroom, with victorian furniture, but when I putt it in the attick, you can not see anything from it. So the baby room now is gone, I have put them in with the childrens room, so some walls have new wallpaper, and they are sharing the room now. The former babyroom I am busy taking of the wallpaper, I have made a new floor from white and blick tiles from Tiple F. Soon you will see these pictures.
